Do you ever find your brain automatically reacting with a judgement about other women?

Phrases like “skinny bitch!” or “it’s easy for her” or even “she might be skinny but at least I’m nice”.

Thoughts like these can be like dirty little secrets we hold onto and make us feel shame or guilt for saying things like that – especially if we find out later that the woman we are judging is gorgeous AND lovely. Shame!

What’s interesting about this is we can pick up on our subconscious beliefs about ourselves, or what it will be like to be at our goal weight.

When we say things like “she might be skinny but at least I’m nice”, what our subconscious brain hears is “if you’re skinny like her people will think you’re mean”. When we hold onto beliefs like that about slim women, our subconscious mind will try and sabotage all of our attempts to slim to our ideal weight.

On this episode we discuss:

  • A couple of the beliefs I’ve discovered on my weight loss journey that were sabotaging me
  • How I triggered myself intentionally with magazines and social media to surface lots of judgements
  • Being curious about these thoughts and how they may be blocking us from losing weight
  • Using tapping (EFT) to clear these beliefs
